Project Details

Aid for Life, established in 2007, is the only program in Israel to offer holistic and immediate aid packages to impoverished Holocaust survivors that targets their nutritional, medical, physical, social, and emotional needs so that they may live out their days with dignity.  Aid for Life serves 1,200 Survivors annually, at 25 locations across Israel. Support for this program is in a critical junction, as funding from international /governmental allocations is coming to an end.  Latet has undertaken a strategy to diversify and expand its funding base which includes broadening awareness about this critical program on which Holocaust survivors rely for sustenance and dignity. As the average age of the survivors in the program is 89 years old, we only have a small window of opportunities to create a change.

Our goal is to increase the number of holocaust survivors participating the program from 1,200 to 1,500. The cost of a holistic aid package for a holocaust survivor is only $1,500 per year.
